Workforce Development and Upskilling

AFDA Ltd is a privately run registered organisation that strives to be an outstanding training provider of choice. Our aim is to provide all our learners with the skills, motivation, work ethic and qualifications to enhance their knowledge and understanding in their industry sector and contribute to the success of the local economy. In partnership with national training provider Inspire and Educate, AFDA are offering businesses the opportunity to up-skill their workforce for FREE in a variety of industry sectors including:

  • Activity Leadership
  • Personal Training
  • Delivering PE and Sport

Up-skilling Process, AFDA will:

  • Meet with the employer and ascertain the training needs of their work force
  • Advise and welcome the learner onto the right course
  • Ensure that the courses are delivered by qualified and experienced staff
  • All work is overseen by qualified assessors with quality assurance throughout
  • Successful completion of the course in a timely manner
  • Information and guidance throughout the course and on completion

Course Guide and useful information

How long does the course last?

It’s a 12 – 18 month course

Who is eligible for the course? 

Individuals can be aged between 16-55 years old and must not be in any other funded education programme

If learners pass the course, what is the next step on the training ladder?

 The assessor will advise and guide the learner on further courses available

Who quality assures our assessment team?

All assessors are trained and monitored by internal and external verifiers. They are also monitored on compliance within the partnership, each training provider have a compliance team to oversee the process

As a company, what is required from us? 

We need your support to ensure the learners are available to meet all requirements of the course. Which includes signing on, targets being met and all components of the qualification

How much do the courses cost?

Courses are free to all companies unless you turn over £3 million or more. In which case the money for the training is given to the employer directly to spend on a training provider for staff development.
