Advanced Football Development Academy (AFDA) – Alternative Provision Program (2025)

The Advanced Football Development Academy (AFDA) is proud to announce the launch of its Alternative Provision (AP) program starting in January 2025. This initiative is designed to support 11-16-year-olds who are disengaged from mainstream education and face learning difficulties. The goal is to help these young people gain valuable qualifications and improve their chances of returning to mainstream education or securing employment.

Program Overview:

The Alternative Provision Program will offer a comprehensive approach to personal and academic development through a series of qualifications, designed to improve both employability and personal growth.

Qualifications on Offer:

  • Level 1 Award in Lifestyle Management
    A program focused on improving personal health, well-being, and daily life skills.
  • Level 1 Award in Employability & Personal Development
    A qualification aimed at building skills for the workplace, with a focus on confidence, communication, and resilience.
  • Level 2 Award in Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning
    This course will help students explore career pathways within leisure and sports industries, offering insight into potential job roles and responsibilities.
  • Functional Skills Maths & English.

Objective:

This program is specifically tailored to disengaged students, helping them build the confidence and skills they need for a brighter future. Through this initiative, AFDA aims to offer an alternative route to qualification, which can open doors to both mainstream education and future employment opportunities.
